Body Planes,

Taking in account the six dimensional and eight diagonal directions mentioned in the sections before, one receives fourteen fixed directions.
In total we have 26 with the center 27 established and organized spatial directions.

To understand how the other directions and types of diagonals evolve, we must consider the planes of the body.

The human body consists out of three levels. Frontal plane (Coronal plane), which divides front and back of the body.

Sagittal plane (Longitudinal plane), which divides the right and left side of the body,

and the Horizontal Plane (Transverse plane), which divides the upper and the lower part of the body.

Each body plane is composed out of two dimensions.

The Frontal Plane, also called,
Door plane. It is developed through the dimension Height with the associated directions up and down, and Width, with its associated directions of left and right.

The horizontal plane, also called,
Table plane, is developed by the two dimensions, Width, with its directions left and right and Depth, with its associated directions of front and back.

The third plane, the sagittal plane, also called,
Wheel plane, is made up by the dimensions Height with its associated directions of up and down and Depth, with it directions front and back.

Starting from the centre of the body, we receive therefore twelve directions moving into space.

These directions are also called by Laban the Diametral directions, which develop together the six
Diametral Cross.
