Simultaneous /Sequential Body Flow

Observing the body moving in space, one can recognize and perceive different ways of how the flow of energy, the muscular tension is activated and travels within the body. How the body moves against or with gravity, using muscular energy or weight and how the movement is taking and designing space.

The human body is structured in a way, that by the different sections of the body a big variety of articulation is possible.

The different, joins and vertebras of the body enable articulate each part of the body, so simple as complex coordination and design is possible.

Simultaneous Movement Flow

A movement where a body part or the body is moved as one, where no movement happens within the moved part, is called a movement with a simultaneous body flow.

The visible movement happens just in one articulation. The following joins of the moved body part are continuing simultaneously the body movement in space without articulating. A body shape is visibly moved in space, without changing its form during the journey.

All moved articulations part and arrive at the same time in space.
Like the stretched arm moves from down to horizontal, moving just within the shoulder join.

Sequential Body Flow

A body movement, where the visible motion travels through a body part or body, where the different participating articulations are activated one after another is called a body action with a sequential body flow.

The movement starts with a particular body part and ends with another. Always travelling from one articulation to the following of the same body part.

The participating body articulations never starting and never finishing at the same time. The body part might finish in a particular established form but during the movement no shape is established. A constant movement with a sequential course is perceived.

The hanging arm travels to the horizontal level, starting from the shoulder over the elbow, wrist and finishing with the hand.
