The dimensional Axis

When we connect the six basic directions of the three dimensions, we produce the one-dimensional scale.

The word scale is an expression used by Laban. The idea behind this are movement sequences that make sense, because they are organically organised in space, they have a natural succession and serve the natural body shaping process.

The corresponding axis in the action space is: vertical/horizontal and sagittal.

The order of the scale appears to move from one direction to the next within the same dimension and/or passing from one dimension into another, always passing through the cross of the axis, as a central point before each change of direction

When we move from point to point in the dimensional cross without passing over the centre, means we don’t return to the centre before reaching out for a new direction. here we generate two dimensional movements and produce the form of an
Octahedron.
