Inclined Directions
We call all directions which differ from the six basic directions front/back/up/down/left/right inclined directions. Directions like this appear in the Diagonal cross and Diametral Cross.
Diagonal directions
The eight diagonal directions build the Four Diagonal Cross, which radiates from the centre of the body into space.
Each diagonal direction is placed between three, dimensional directions. By the geometrical form of the cube
the diagonal cross can be best visualized.
Three dimensional movements and shapes appear within the diagonal directions. Moving within the diagonal cross offers the widest spectrum of body shaping, range of movement and maximum mobility.
While the vertical oriented dimensions tend to stability, rest and balance,
the three-dimensional directions guide us to instability, lability, and motion.
